OK, there isn't a real point in numbering the days since I took, oh, 2.5 months off from this project. But I've decided I need to kickstart my ass back into it, so here is today's mildly lame photo as taken with my phone while on lunch from work. Time to get serious again.

Not bothering numbering the days now that I've missed so many. Anyway, shot out my window while enduring the Superbowl halftime show.

I had a bout of food poisoning last week, then kicked off my new full time-ish job, then had some life stuff come up, so my plate's been really full this past week.

I'll try and start shooting again.

There's probably no one left reading this now anyway, oh well.

Hosting Crack On Tour Radio... I think the ungodly noisyness of my 5mp cameraphone works well for this. And I was too busy doing laundry today to take real photos. I took a lot of those this weekend, anyway.

Day 11

Free helicopter ride for two! No, I did not take T-Pain.

It was hard not to use one of my photos from the 24 Hours of Lemons for my photo of the day, but who wants to look at a bunch of crapcan racecars anyway. Other than me.

Day 10

Day trip out to Willcox, AZ. Not much there but some mountains, a winery, and a BBQ place in an old train car. Still being full from eating lunch at Lindy's on 4th (of Man Vs Food fame), I opted for the mountains.

Day 9

Started the new job today and was a bit busy, so I just snapped this with my camera phone on my walk to the bus stop. This week's storms left us a little snow on the mountains.

Day 8

I just think this fence is neat.

This is ridiculously noisy and overprocessed and I don't care. I like it.

I'm on a B&W kick, it seems. And I need to start doing better with finding interesting things in everyday life.

This is either:

1. Social commentary about the proliferation of suburban sprawl and its effects on American society
2. A visual representation of Star Wars and its link to man's inhumanity to man
3. A blatant Paul Strand ripoff
4. Something I shot with my cameraphone while on break

Not all of these are going to be serious... if you instruct me to "grab [my] own titties," then I probably will. I will also jump off the Brooklyn Bridge if all my friends are doing it.

Day 1

Sometimes for me photography is about finding beauty in places where you least expect it. While walking into work today I spotted these flower tops that someone had picked and tossed in the fountain out front. I decided to play with layer masks a little bit to have fun. Here's a neat little tutorial about how to do so in the GIMP, which is what I tend to use to work with my images: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Selective_Color/

So, here's the deal

I'm going to post one photo per day here. It might be taken with my Rebel XT, it might be from my Motorola/Kodak cameraphone. It might be artsy, it might be documentary, it might be something I spotted on the bathroom wall that made me laugh. What I am trying to do is flex my creative muscle and to see the world a little bit differently every day.
